About this website
The information on this site describes Scales Barber Academy, its campuses, its programs and its student clinic. Program content, schedules and prices can change. Where a detail on this site differs from what the academy confirms with you in person or over the phone, the confirmed detail applies.
Applications and fees
Applications are completed on the academy's student portal. The application fee is $50 and the enrollment fee is $100. Both are non-refundable. Paying and applying online secures your spot if the class fills up. Future students who did not apply online must bring the full $100 to orientation to be fully enrolled.
Continuing education
Continuing education courses are online. A Certificate of Completion is issued once you pass the written assessment with 75% or higher and complete all assignments. An application is required before you are given access to the course.
Student clinic services
All work in the student clinic is done by students who are learning, with the assistance of licensed instructors. Satisfaction is not guaranteed and there are no refunds. If you feel something is not right during your service, ask the student to consult an instructor. Because of closing times, service cut-off times can change according to hair type, the style you want and student availability.
Third party tools
Tour bookings and reviews on this site are provided through outside services. When you use them, their own terms apply to that interaction.
